At the CPCA SHOW Shanghai, MAKER-RAY focused on the pain points and challenges of PCB inspection and unveiled the VB500 Series—an optical visual inspection device specially designed for rigid PCBs—for the first time. Equipped with a multi-line TDI line scan camera and self-developed multi-angle combined light source, the device achieves high dynamic range imaging for both dark and bright areas. Combined with oblique shooting and time-division dual/three light field imaging technologies, it can not only clearly capture conventional surface defects such as ink scratches and metal indentations, but also accurately detect hidden problems that are difficult to identify with traditional equipment, including inner hole wall damage and open/short circuits under ink.

 

 

On-site customer engineers experienced the imaging effect and defect recognition capability of the VB500 Series on complex PCB surfaces firsthand and spoke highly of it. The SOP Error-Proofing Solution, exhibited for the first time, also became one of the highlights on site. Based on a hybrid model-based motion recognition engine, this solution enables AI to interpret SOP operational requirements from video streams. It collects employees' operational actions through cameras, conducts real-time comparison and issues alerts for non-compliant operations, helping enterprises realize standardized operations and reduce operational errors.
